A record number of senior members of NEHS have submitted applications and essays for the Merit and Collegiate scholarships available this year. Once the applications are verified for accuracy and the chapters have been confirmed as active, the applications will be distributed across the country to evaluators. Each application is reviewed and scored by multiple readers, each of whom reads without knowledge of the scores given by other judges. Once this process is finished, scores are tabulated and the NEHS Advisory Council awards the scholarships to those students whose applications are deemed the best. Applicants and their advisors will be notified in early April of the final decisions.
