National English Honor Society is thrilled to announce our new NEHS Director, Chris Lockwood. Please join us in extending him a warm welcome!
Chris Lockwood has spent the last twelve years as the Head of English, Bilingual and International Education in Oaxaca de Juarez, Mexico, and as the Upper School Principal at the American School Foundation of Chiapas in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mexico. He taught upper-level classes on Modern Drama, the Contemporary Novel, and Shakespeare. He has been an NEHS Chapter Advisor, an educational travel consultant, and translator. Chris holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Keele (Keele, England) and Loyola University New Orleans (New Orleans, LA), an MPhil (Cantab) from the University of Cambridge (Cambridge, England), and an MEd from the University of Buckingham (Buckingham, England).
Chris is thrilled to have been selected as the new Director of the National English Honor Society. He is very conscious of the privilege and responsibility involved in taking on this role at an organization that has gone from strength to strength over the last 15 years. Chris is excited to work with NEHS’ incredible Advisory Council, Chapter Advisors, Central Office staff, and students so that together we can steer NEHS to future growth and innovation.
