NEHS, in collaboration with Sigma Tau Delta, is excited to announce its expanded partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. In previous years this NEHS Service Project has focused on fundraising efforts, supporting the Imagination Library in their mission to put books in the hands of children. In the time of COVID, however, we understand that monetary contributions from chapters may be hindered by virtual learning and various pandemic-induced financial hardships. At the same time, it is as important now, if not more so, to continue ensuring that children have access to books.
The new non-financial focus to our partnership with the Imagination Library consists of several prongs; while we still encourage NEHS chapters to fund-raise for the Imagination Library, we will be working toward connecting NEHS chapters with local Imagination Library affiliate groups, encouraging service hours rather than fundraising. More information will be shared during The Dollywood Foundation webinar being sponsored by Sigma Tau Delta on Thursday, November 19, 6:00 CST. Invitations have been sent to all NEHS chapters.
