The NEHS Scholarship applications for this school year may be submitted between December 4, 2018 and January 14, 2019.
Attention now turns to the selection of a Common Reader for the 2019-2020 school year as the basis of the Merit Scholarships. Advisors and student members of NEHS are encouraged to submit titles and authors of texts that may be considered for selection. NEHS looks for books, fiction or non-fiction, that will generate critical thinking and quality writing. Texts should be challenging yet appropriate for seniors at the high school level, and have complex themes of universal appeal. Advisors are encouraged to submit those titles they would recommend to their best students for independent reading.
Please send suggestions to NEHS Director, Dave Wendelin.
